Customer's Pricebook

We have an optional feature that will allow you to assign specific pricebooks to specific customers. This is turned off by default, but you can speak to your account manager about getting this turned on.

Once this is done, you can see the pricebook ID on the customer GET as follows:

    <pricebook_id>54</pricebook_id>

You can also populate the values via the API. To do so, you include the pricebook ID in a POST or a PUT to a customer.

    <customer>
        <pricebook_id>1188</pricebook_id>
    </customer>

Please note, that the values you supply will need to match the ID of a pricebook in your account.

If you do not have access to the website, you can perform a GET on the pricebooks endpoint to retrieve a list of valid pricebook IDs for your account.

When this feature is enabled, and you create a job for this customer, the job will automatically inherit the customer pricebook if invoicing is enabled. (But you can over ride this by specifying an alternate pricebook ID in the POST.
