There are 11 job statuses in vWork. You may include a status when creating a job if you wish, but this is optional.
| Name | Description |
|---|---|
| draft | Draft jobs are visible to dispatchers and can be scheduled, but will not be shown to workers until they are undrafted. |
| unassigned | Jobs with no worker assigned yet. |
| unpublished | Jobs dragged to a worker's time slot on the schedule, but not sent out to the worker yet. |
| pending | If accept/decline is enabled, a job that has been given to a worker and they have not yet accepted or declined it yet. |
| declined | If accept/decline is enabled, a job declined by the worker. |
| assigned | If accept/decline is enabled, a job accepted by the worker (or if accept/decline is not enabled, simply a job assigned to a worker). |
| started | The worker has completed at least one job step. |
| paused | The job has been paused, it's been started, but has not yet been completed. (Pause time is not included in the worker job duration.) |
| postponed | The customer has postponed the job to a later date. This date needs to be confirmed by a dispatcher. |
| canceled | The job has been canceled, it will be removed from the worker's schedule automatically. |
| completed | All steps on the job have been completed. |
In theory, you can set any of these via the API, however there are some restrictions, including:
For a job to be assigned, started, or completed, it must have a worker.
For a job to be started, it must have a worker, and at least one completed step.
For a job to be completed all steps must be completed.
For a job to be unassigned, it may not have a worker, etc..
To set a status, you can include the following XML in a job:
<status>canceled</status>
